Prom Reviews part 2 and also uploaded the video.. :P *Im not actually allowed to use the comp now but my mum is busy watching tv downstairs, my brothers are having tuition and my dad is at work.. So i sneaked =X* What they dont know wont hurt them.. =D So in my last post i mentioned something about the Oriental Crystal Hotel Management and stuff.. Let me refresh your memory.. ;)
We were about to start the slow dances when the fucking sucker hotel manager being such a party pooper and killjoy came and told us we had to pack up at 11.30pm!! WTFFFFFFF man.. By that time it was already 11.15pm.. So yea.. No slow dances.. :(((( FUCK YOU STUPID MANAGER!!! I HAVE YOUR STUPID CALLING CARD AND I'LL POST A VIDEO OF ME BURNING IT UP WITH A LIGHTER HERE ON MY BLOG!!! I'll elaborate on this later.. Together with me burning that damn card! :( I'll write more on the next post.. Keep checking! :)ORIENTAL CRYSTAL, YOU SUCK ASS! AND NEVER AGAIN SHALL WE BOOK YOUR DAMN BALLROOM FOR ANYTHING!!! I'LL SPREAD THE WORD FAR AND WIDE ABOUT YOUR TERRIBLE SERVICE! YES I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS!!!!! GO SUCK A ****! HMPH!D:So there you have it.. Okay so early November, we called the hotel and booked the ballroom for our prom night..
THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE.. i repeat;
THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE! :( We should have never called them up in the first place.. BAD MANAGEMENT! BAAAAADDDD!! Very Very Very Very BAAADD! D= We met up with our 'manager' that was incharge of this whole thing and we bargained and bargained and in the end we got a good deal.. We paid the deposit and everything and we even got the receipt.. We settled the menu and she promised us that we could use the sound system without any additional fee.. So all good rite? All settled? Yea rite think again..
On the 13th of December 2008, Friday, we had a rehearsal at the hotel at 2pm.. We planned to go through all the performances and stuff but in the end we were there till 5pm fighting for our rights to use the ballroom on the 15th which is our Prom Night.. The 'manager' suddenly came and told us that we will have to use the
Solitaire room or else pay more money.. I mean what the fuck is that?? What kind of agreement is this?? She's definitely trying to con us! Just because we're teenagers organising this biiiig event doesnt mean we're DUMB okay? I feel so victimised! So yea we argued with her and asked her why the sudden change of plan.. And you know what she replied?? What was her stupid answer??
Cuz some businessman contacted the hotel and asked to use the ballroom on the same night as we are! And when he heard that it was already booked, he offered to pay MORE MONEY! Tell me, is this fair?? So of course the hotel wants more money and what did they do? They try to
halau us to a smaller room! Which doesnt have a stage, is as big as the ballroom's stage + dancefloor, which has a stupid tiang right in the centre of where they wanted to make the stage, that has a bar, no space for a dance floor and buffet dinner will have to be put outside... WHAT IS THAT?? A Prom without dancing?? They are the most stupidest people ive ever met.. And they're ADULTS! What are you trying to show us kids? That when you turn into an adult, all values you've learnt when you were young does not exist anymore and money rules the world? PFFFTTT.. What immaturity! And why didnt she tell this all to Naz's mum who was there as well but left early? Why didnt she mention anything?? Why did she wait till his mum left to come in and tell us we cannot use the ballroom?? We were sooo friggin pissed i tell you.. Where are we going to get the extra money? In such short notice! Plus its not fair to us.. And she was pleading with us that her superiors questioned her on why she let us use the ballroom with the amount of money we're paying.. Is that OUR problem? She's the one who agreed! She's the one who issued the receipt, the price and everything.. If she knew she was taking a risk then why doesnt she take responsibility for it? Instead of asking us to pay more to cover up HER mistakes and make peace with her boss.. Its HER mistake so if she was worried, she should find some other way of getting the money or negotiating with her boss.. We didnt blackmail her or force her to give us that amount..
Omgosh im on a roll here.. x) Let me continue to the next point.. Im getting way worked up.. Hhehe.. Okay so the next baaaad thing they did was getting our menu mixed up.. There was supposed to be
curry chicken and no mushroom pizza.. We specifically told her that cuz we knew the pizza sucked and we didnt want it on the menu.. But on the day, there was no curry chicken and they served mushroom pizza.. -.- And yes, they STILL suck!! So the food was a bit dry.. The only gravy dish was the curry, which didnt appear.. :( Atleast the chef came out and apologized when he realised they got our menu wrong.. But yea we know its not his fault.. He showed us the menu he was assigned to and there's no curry chicken on it.. It must be the work of our 'manager'!! D= Man im hating her more every minute.. *The pizza is waaaay cheaper than the curry.. Which is why we're suspecting the manager wanted to cut cost and
dapat more duit* Thats not fair at all.. :( Oh well.. We let it pass in the end..
So the next baaad thing was when the prom was about to start, we were busy testing out the sound system.. We were running behind schedule and we couldnt do it earlier because the bands were having their sound checks.. The thing wouldnt play songs.. =X So we called for the hotel technician and we were waiting for him to appear.. We waited and waited and waited.. And fuck him, he didnt appear.. It was already 7.20pm!! The prom is already starting and people were arriving.. So yes we were kinda in a panic-mode.. Finally he
muncul!! And where was he you ask?
Busy having he's dinner!! What- i mean WHAT-?? WHAT??? Doh!! Im spluttering even as i type this.. x) WHAT INCONSIDERATENESS!!! BAAAAADDD! Very very very very BAAAADDD... :( Luckily the sound system worked in the end.. Prom without music?! I shudder to think what a disaster it could've been..
Okay so you must be thinking by now that nothing else could go wrong rite? WRONG! The prom was in full blast and everyone was having a hell lot of fun.. The bands were awesome, people looked awesome, the dancing was awesome, the singing was awesome, the prom crew was of course the most awesome... :D And out of all these awesomeness, comes the hotel people trying to ruin our fun! AGAIN! :((( They told us that we got until 11.30pm only.. After that we have to close everything up and go home or else they will charge
Rm1000 an hour!! They're trying to weedle money out from us again!! :( And they told us like at 11.15pm.. So we basically have 15 minutes to wrap everything up.. What party poopers.. And i specifically remembered her telling me and maddie about her past experiences with parties and party-goers when we were discussing about the payment way back in November.. Something about a group of
police people partying till 2 am and only then did they asked them to leave or they have to pay extra charges.. Atleast that was 2 am! This was 11.30pm!! And we got her assurance that we could use the ballroom till 12am! D= BAAAAADDDD!! BAAAADDD PEOPLE! :((( They have no heart! So in the end,
no slow dances.. :( Prom without slowdancing?? sighhh... Oh well...
So yea we learned our mistake, which was holding the prom at ORIENTAL CRYSTAL in the first place.. Maaann do they have bad moral values and hotel management or what?? =/ Go back and retake your courses!! OMFG wait!! I just remembered something.. The hotel wanted to charge us
a few hundred ringgit if we wanted to use their mixer! =X And no mixer means no band performances.. Or something like that lar.. x)
I x tau lah how this thing works.. =P But luckily Naz settled the problem and everything went smooth.. (:
We were damn lucky that everything turned out okay.. =X Mostly thanks to Naz la.. Thank you Naz! :D *His dad went to meet with the manager on the Saturday before the prom and fucked them all up nicely (:* They deserved every minute of it! hmph.. Even after all the obstacles, we still managed to have a real rocking time! =) Best prom of the year i'd say! =DD Due to some really sporting people who just wanna have some good clean fun! (: And some awesome performances.. Once again, thank you all for coming! :D And remember, never ever organise anything at the oriental crystal! =/ Unless you're willing to splurge.. Hei there…A giant thanks to the orgrnizr (SMK Tmn Jasmin to prom crew) for inviting us. The prom was awesome and trust me its'nt like what we expected (beyond our expectation). we really appreciate all the support from u guys. U guys rocks!! before the prom, we (dichi michi) got a lot of problem wif our instrument and transportation (due to robot's accident tragedy). So every dichi members n crew are not really in d good mood..hehehe everything change when we reach to the prom venue. Just because the support from u guys… thanks thanks n thanks… at the prom,our 1st song is cover song from "pee wee gaskin-you throw the party,we get a girl" FEATURING THE REAL VOCAL OF "PEE WE GASKINS" SANSAN(from indonesia)…A GIANT THANKS 2 SANSAN (PEE WEE GASKINS) FOR HIS VOCALS….2nd song is our new song. We wrote it months ago and we decide to record it for our 1st EP (coming soon)…third song is from our 1st single "fine without u" a.k.a "miow"…huhuhu n our last song is cover song from "we the kings-check yes Juliet"…on our last song I can hear u guys sing along so loud…thanks coz im not rilli remember the lyrics.. hahahahaha…urm also a giant thanks to the crew (sate town music community) for their support……tq.
